Rega Merida CF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Karl-Heinz Kaltz scored to the left of an out of position Konstanty Wawro, making the score, 5-1. Dé 武松 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jean-Louis Van Bever showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nistor Sârban, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Rega Merida CF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
