With an all-out effort, Rega Merida CF's Marco Day threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nistor Sârban, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A hard shot 17 in the game by Nistor Sârban from a close distance when the talented Marco Day managed to make a qualified save. USA's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 30th minute of play forced Rega Merida CF's goalkeeper Konstanty Wawro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Nistor Sârban had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Day. USA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nistor Sârban was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Konstanty Wawro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edward Mcdonald might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Konstanty Wawro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Mcdonald ran back to his position shaking his head. 44 minutes into the match, Rega Merida CF's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Mcdonald came free, but Konstanty Wawro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half USA were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nistor Sârban made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Rega Merida CF's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Mcdonald came free, but Konstanty Wawro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Day came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Rega Merida CF's Nistor Sârban. But to his dismay, Nistor Sârban quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Abdulhamit Beycan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rega Merida CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Abdulhamit Beycan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Day breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 61 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Abdulhamit Beycan came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Rega Merida CF's zone, Cassius Byrne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Konstanty Wawro came out of the goal and Cassius Byrne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 67 minutes of play, Rega Merida CF's Nistor Sârban made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marco Day was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rega Merida CF made a substitution. Bartosz Loncki replaced Telis Lianos. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Konrad Knopek, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 80th match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edward Mcdonald to maneuver through the defense. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald.
