The crowd rose to their feet as ATLETICO TOSODELMA's Lucio Libertad slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 18 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. After having played for 20 minutes, Feliciano Quintyn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ATLETICO TOSODELMA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Feliciano Quintyn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 25 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicasio Tome was left in no man's land by his defense there! Feliciano Quintyn who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Ferrant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Aquilino Montrell hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Nicasio Tome tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 48 played minutes ATLETICO TOSODELMA got a freekick which was hit by Lucio Libertad. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute Feliciano Quintyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. With his leg Nicasio Tome managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
