Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Glasston's Rafael van der Vaart started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Tamayo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 6th minute of play forced Glasston's goalkeeper Carlton Convine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 8 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlton Convine was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 11thth minute of the game Rafael van der Vaart who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chile's Thiago Pliego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carlton Convine stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orlando Casaus's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Glasston's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Carlton Convine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Glasston's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. In the 25th minute Orlando Casaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlton Convine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Glasston's Carlton Convine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 27th minute of play. Glasston's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tom Rheistein in the 35th minute. Glasston's Eddy Watts was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Thiago Pliego in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rafael van der Vaart could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Thiago Pliego made a huge save. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael van der Vaart in the 39th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The wind increased when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off in the second half. Mete Golob's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Glasston's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Carlton Convine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael van der Vaart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Chile's Mariano Lacasa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Carlton Convine. Carlton Convine yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. 71 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Eddy Watts came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael van der Vaart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute Mete Golob shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orlando Casaus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 80th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlton Convine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Glasston's Bennett Rishton got a free kick in the 81st minute. Gregg Didlick hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. 84 minutes into the match, Glasston's goalkeeper Carlton Convine had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guillermo Fontirroig. Guillermo Fontirroig's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Carlton Convine firmly grabbed it by the left post. Glasston's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Guillermo Fontirroig 84 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. When Guillermo Fontirroig fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chile's protests and gave Guillermo Fontirroig a yellow card for diving instead. Guillermo Fontirroig hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Carlton Convine stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mariano Lacasa's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Lacasa in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlton Convine saved Glasston from getting behind. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Chile had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
