An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 12th minute of play forced Almeyra F.C.'s goalkeeper Cristo Colas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristo Colas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 12th minute of play. In the 16th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Felix Montes heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Celedonio Xabat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of play forced Almeyra F.C.'s goalkeeper Cristo Colas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Agustín Saelices made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Almeyra F.C.'s Cristo Colas managed to reach the ball for a save. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Almeyra F.C. booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 72nd minute by Felix Montenegro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 77 minutes into the game, Paolo Indar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Almeyra F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. A collision led to Almeyra F.C. getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Paolo Indar hit a great ball. 78 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristo Colas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 83rd minute Celedonio Xabat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Almeyra F.C. getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Victorio Sabino hit a great ball. The Almeyra F.C. players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
