In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sporting Burgas's goalkeeper Álvaro Perpiñán, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 20th match minute, Sporting Burgas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oskars Junco to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Sporting Burgas's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Álvaro Perpiñán reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Carmona in the 29th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antonio Fioriti made a kick off. The Sporting Burgas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Fioriti in the 57th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Fioriti in the 91st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Joel Ferrer notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sporting Burgas fully deserved thier win.
