It was Brian Falck who took care of the corner kick. In the 7th match minute, Swindon Sweden FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melker Aspengren to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcus Östman in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Álvaro Perpiñán prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Vintilă Ghițulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vintilă Ghițulescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reynaldo Tino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute of the match Sporting Burgas got a corner. Swindon Sweden FF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Davor Šuker ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of Swindon Sweden FF booed when Sporting Burgas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mac Aron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reynaldo Tino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davor Šuker, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Davor Šuker notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Swindon Sweden FF's Reynaldo Tino. Reynaldo Tino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 29th minute, Marcus Östman made a precise shot to the right of Álvaro Perpiñán. Sporting Burgas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 33rdth minute of the game Marcus Östman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Burgas's Álvaro Perpiñán was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 34th match minute, Sporting Burgas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ke Xiong Chen to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Swindon Sweden FF's Reynaldo Tino got control of the ball when Vintilă Ghițulescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Álvaro Perpiñán showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Haglund, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Swindon Sweden FF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Brian Falck in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Marcus Östman made the kick off in the second half. After 60 minutes, Davor Šuker made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Swindon Sweden FF's Reynaldo Tino tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Reynaldo Tino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davor Šuker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 69 minutes Swindon Sweden FF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Davor Šuker who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Mac Aron almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Swindon Sweden FF's Reynaldo Tino did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ke Xiong Chen in the 76th minute of play forced Swindon Sweden FF's goalkeeper Reynaldo Tino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Swindon Sweden FF's goal looked a bit too open when Cedro Pantoja came free, but Reynaldo Tino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Cedro Pantoja left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Burgas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Sporting Burgas's Álvaro Perpiñán proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Burgas from getting a goal against them. Swindon Sweden FF's Reynaldo Tino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davor Šuker in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute Sporting Burgas were awarded a corner. Davor Šuker went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Sporting Burgas's corner Davor Šuker fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Reynaldo Tino quite easily take care of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Burgas's zone, Sten Jespersson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Álvaro Perpiñán came out of the goal and Sten Jespersson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reynaldo Tino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davor Šuker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Algot Spets sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Álvaro Perpiñán made an important save on a dangerous shot by Algot Spets in the 93rd minute.
