Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita made the kick off and thus started the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Boğaç Altuncuoğlu in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. When San Lorenzo 11's Boğaç Altuncuoğlu in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. In the 7th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Astudillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurelio Astudillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Boğaç Altuncuoğlu got free with Julio Vera in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aurelio Astudillo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. San Lorenzo 11's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Santiago Sayvion tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Aurelio Astudillo. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-1 in the 21st minute. San Lorenzo 11's Aurelio Astudillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Aurelio Astudillo. San Lorenzo 11's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 29 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo 11's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Aurelio Astudillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudio Bucciarelli might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudio Bucciarelli ran back to his position shaking his head. Felix Montes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th match minute, San Lorenzo 11 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hudson Abreu to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. Luis Andino struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Aurelio Astudillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Boğaç Altuncuoğlu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to San Lorenzo 11 getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Hudson Abreu hit a great ball. Matias Chepe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aurelio Astudillo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a defensive mix-up in San Lorenzo 11's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelio Astudillo came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Agustín Saelices's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 85thth minute, Aurelio Astudillo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 87th minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aurelio Astudillo. The goal made the score 0-3. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boğaç Altuncuoğlu in the 90th minute of play. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Quilo Lujarra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot.
