The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alvaro Cirelli was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Concetto Donato in the 39th minute of play. Alvaro Cirelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 40th minute of the match. But to his dismay, Cristiano Chitarroni quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Veli Vefa came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Veli Vefa took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Alvaro Cirelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johannes Støle in the 62nd minute of play. The referee ignored Kroton F.C.'s protests and gave Concetto Donato a yellow card for diving instead. Concetto Donato kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Veli Vefa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Cristiano Chitarroni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Cristiano Chitarroni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alvaro Cirelli having to make a save. 86 minutes into the match, Kroton F.C.'s goalkeeper Alvaro Cirelli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. In the 92nd minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The Kroton F.C. support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
