Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boğaç Altuncuoğlu in the 24th minute of the match. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudio Bucciarelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Quilo Lujarra was the one to do the kick off. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. San Lorenzo 11 had played much better football throughout.
