The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Peru's Alonso Berganza got a free kick in the 12th minute. Peru's attentive Alonso Berganza managed to snatch the ball when Orbay Kiner made a throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ahmet Ali Yücesan was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to H4K.BR getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Claudinho Toledo hit a great ball. Martin Zafiu hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. H4K.BR's Tarcisio Severo was substituted for Ovidiu Goanță. Luz Tejedor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antonio Buccella read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xiao Zhen Yun in the 80th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
