Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nemesio Fidele in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Progreso Tres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nemesio Fidele didn't get a good kick on the ball. This resulted in a 3-1 score and a disappointed Jonathan Ferrant as he didn't even see the shot coming. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Cezar Novacovici took a quick shot and it went in 4-1 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Progreso Tres's Nemesio Fidele. But to his dismay, Nemesio Fidele quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. When Rigoberto Mina fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Rigoberto Mina a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes into the game, Salvador Gisbert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Progreso Tres the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mariano Jusepe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Candido Herces got a throw-in 77 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Nemesio Fidele. 84 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Nemesio Fidele came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nemesio Fidele in the 88th minute of play.
