Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miroslaw Penc was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 25th minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Venezuela booed when liverpool team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hikmet Andaç didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Alex Chicote hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, liverpool team's Miroslaw Penc ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Kazimierz Damazki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. 54 minutes into the match, liverpool team's Miroslaw Penc sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miroslaw Penc in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Miroslaw Penc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miroslaw Penc, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, Miroslaw Penc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miroslaw Penc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miroslaw Penc in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jânio Novaes was slow to take the kick. During this time liverpool team's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Jânio Novaes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. In the 88th minute liverpool team were awarded a corner. Jânio Novaes went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Jânio Novaes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kazimierz Damazki in the 91st minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miroslaw Penc's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. The supporters of Venezuela booed when liverpool team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geronimo Ekialde didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. liverpool team fully deserved thier win.
