Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Célio Fontes made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's goalkeeper Juvenal Sergipano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 5 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juvenal Sergipano. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jose Correa charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jose Correa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After having played for 9 minutes, Lobo Zornoza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lobo Zornoza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Nae Buteanu got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Lobo Zornoza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juvenal Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Amado Froila tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. When Lobo Zornoza came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lobo Zornoza couldn't finish the play. 26 minutes into the match, Célio Fontes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Célio Fontes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. A hard shot 28 in the game by Célio Fontes from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. 30 minutes in the game, Nae Buteanu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lobo Zornoza in the 36th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juvenal Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Rigoberto Mina lost his temper 52 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Jonathan Ferrant had in the 54thth minute some difficulties stopping Célio Fontes's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Célio Fontes struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE. 61 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Lobo Zornoza came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lobo Zornoza took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Lobo Zornoza. But to his dismay, Lobo Zornoza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 67th minute Célio Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lobo Zornoza in the 71st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE made a substitution. Kiko Tande replaced Célio Fontes. Thomás Borges made in the 78th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Nae Buteanu however managed to control. Kiko Tande scored 4-1 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lobo Zornoza scored 5-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. During the 87th minute of the match Jose Correa completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jose Correa a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Joshua Secada kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lobo Zornoza in the 92nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Thomás Borges got a free kick in the 95th minute. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
