Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomas Berganza kicked off to start the match. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Aquiles Pirro sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex Cambeiro during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 4th minute, Alex Cambeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the game, Zeledon Sol cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 9th minute Zeledon Sol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Areco FC's Gabriel Urtats played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 11th minute of play. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Abraham Alguacil hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Tomas Berganza made a precise shot to the right of Gabriel Urtats. Areco FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abraham Alguacil in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gabriel Urtats prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Tomas Berganza sped through Areco FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gabriel Urtats. Gabriel Urtats showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 32 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Sol came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Gabriel Urtats tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Tomas Berganza sped through Areco FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gabriel Urtats. 43 minutes into the game, Aquiles Pirro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Areco FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. The supporters of Panama booed when Areco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquiles Pirro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Urtats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Abraham Alguacil hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zeledon Sol stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alex Cambeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Urtats having to interfere. Gabriel Urtats showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Marcos Cotilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aquiles Pirro's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucio Galo went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. 72 minutes into the game, Areco FC's Lucio Galo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. 74 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Aquiles Pirro came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 75 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Ismael Barros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ismael Barros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-3. In the 83rd match minute, Areco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tor Kämpe to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Urtats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Areco FC's Venancio Sendoa got a free kick in the 87th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Agustin Abaunza notched a goal, 6-3, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dylan Sarmiento kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 97th minute, Zeledon Sol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Areco FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-3. Panama's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
