A collision led to MORPH getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Tommi Van Der Meren hit a great ball. The corner led to MORPH's Zeledon Dorio getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Carel Rokeloos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute of play forced MORPH's goalkeeper Melquiades Mambru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Mambru having to interfere. Emiliano Berdaitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 34th minute of play forced MORPH's goalkeeper Melquiades Mambru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emiliano Berdaitz got free with Julio Vera in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ambrosio Estevez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Carel Rokeloos succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 43rd playminute. Celedonio Esquipula hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

MORPH made a substitution. Paulo Eguen replaced Carel Rokeloos. 70 minutes into the match, MORPH's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Melquiades Mambru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Delmar Udalaitz sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. 84 minutes into the match, MORPH's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Melquiades Mambru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Mambru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Delmar Udalaitz made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delmar Udalaitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
