Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Gerardo Beltran made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, Stellenbosch's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Pedro Pelayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Facundo Cadaval fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Pelayo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Savini in the 6th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stellenbosch's Pedro Pelayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 7th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Stellenbosch's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Pedro Pelayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Gerardo Beltran kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Savini in the 14th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Pelayo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute Osvaldo Bernat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 played minutes Stellenbosch got a freekick which was hit by Mao Zhen. 25 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Pelayo. Stellenbosch's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Mancebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Osvaldo Bernat sent off a good shot on target. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. After 36 played minutes Stellenbosch got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Peter. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stellenbosch's goalkeeper Pedro Pelayo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Dante Lacasa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 47 played minutes Stellenbosch got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Peter. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. Facundo Cadaval hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Beltran, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. With a little luck, Stellenbosch's Pedro Pelayo got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stellenbosch's goalkeeper Pedro Pelayo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Bernat, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Stellenbosch made a substitution. Laureano Gora replaced Severo Mingo. Stellenbosch made a substitution. Octavio Lluis replaced Osvaldo Bernat. Pedro Pelayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 78th minute, Lautaro Mancebo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Pelayo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Arnaldo Peter hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After 84 played minutes Stellenbosch got a freekick which was hit by Chi-Chi Legay. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laureano Gora in the 86th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Luca Savini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Stellenbosch's Fidel Martxelin. But to his dismay, Fidel Martxelin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Mexico played a much better game than Stellenbosch and deserved their victory. The Stellenbosch players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
