The score was now 1-0. 21 minutes into the match, La Mitad Mas Uno's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Sálvio Ramalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baldomero Silvino's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After having played for 42 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sálvio Ramalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 46th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kauã Nóbrega was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sálvio Ramalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Sálvio Ramalho in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kauã Nóbrega, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauã Nóbrega in the 63rd minute of play. In the 67thth minute of the game Jonatan Asteri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Venezuela booed when La Mitad Mas Uno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Silvino didn't get a good kick on the ball.
