A collision led to Manducha Fc getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Carlos Codosal hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Charilaos Katsourinis during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Manducha Fc's Cristóvão Malheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 23rd minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristóvão Malheiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Caco Terra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Manducha Fc getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Charilaos Katsourinis hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristóvão Malheiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristóvão Malheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 42 minutes into the match, Reynaldo Ostots notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reynaldo Ostots stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Cristóvão Malheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manducha Fc's Cristóvão Malheiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Manducha Fc from getting a goal against them. Cristóvão Malheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 60th minute of play. In the 60thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Manducha Fc's Cristóvão Malheiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaldo Ostots in the 62nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rdth minute of the game Admon Lavijo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 63 minutes, Admon Lavijo made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Agustín Saelices could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Cristóvão Malheiro made a huge save. In the 77th minute of the match, Felix Montenegro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cristóvão Malheiro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Admon Lavijo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Cristóvão Malheiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 90th minute, Deyan Grúmenov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Admon Lavijo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
