In the 45th minute, Martin Peruxu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcos Cotilla. The goal made the score 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Berganza to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Felipe Ros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nichifor Nicolae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 58th minute of play. In the 67th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Barrios to maneuver through the defense. TheBambiTooFurious's Benny Snel was substituted for Martin Peruxu. Nichifor Nicolae took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
