Erling Håland could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. Salvador Urki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 7th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Urki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leandro Pacho charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leandro Pacho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Juguemos con el 5's Leandro Pacho got a free kick in the 21st minute. Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Juguemos con el 5's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luz Tejedor took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Salvador Urki. Salvador Urki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Eliseo Mina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvador Urki having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milagros Fraga in the 41st minute of play forced Juguemos con el 5's goalkeeper Salvador Urki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Urki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Salvador Urki saved Juguemos con el 5 from getting behind. The Juguemos con el 5 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leandro Pacho to strike the kick off in the second half. Salvador Urki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Juguemos con el 5 made a substitution. Jorge Ekaitz replaced Erling Håland. In the 73rd minute of the match Peru got a corner. Juguemos con el 5's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Pacho in the 77th minute of the match. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 79th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Milagros Fraga heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. In the 92nd minute, Peru's Efraim Gilabert seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Efraim Gilabert the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Peru protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Efraim Gilabert had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 91 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Peru! In the 95th minute there was a penalty for Juguemos con el 5. Christian Günther stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rolando Noboa. 1-1. In the 97th minute Jorge Ekaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Peru players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
