Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tomas Illescas got the match started through his kick off. Sándor Jászberényi came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Joshua Secada. But to his dismay, Joshua Secada quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Sándor Jászberényi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 12th minute of play. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sándor Jászberényi having to interfere. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Gyál United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balázs Jánosi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Balázs Berta hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Róbert Tamás made in the 40th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Róbert Tamás immediately put the ball in play.

The wind increased when László Medgyesi made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 53rd minute of play forced Gyál United's goalkeeper Sándor Jászberényi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Gyál United's goalkeeper Sándor Jászberényi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Róbert Vajda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. István Juhász might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. István Juhász ran back to his position shaking his head. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sándor Jászberényi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Balázs Berta's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Balázs Berta helped the player get up and apologised. Balázs Berta hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute of the match, Patricio Costa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sándor Jászberényi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lajos Détári during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 78 minutes into the game, one of Gyál United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Venezuela walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
