The crowd rose to their feet as Ornitorrincos F.C.'s Raymundo Carilao slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-0 after 33 minutes of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Gustaw Pysz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 51st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Costa during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 54 minutes of play, Ornitorrincos F.C.'s Xaime Mac Gill made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Jon-Ander Echeverría had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Xaime Mac Gill came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Lester Clavijo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lester Clavijo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymundo Carilao, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Xaime Mac Gill came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xaime Mac Gill in the 73rd minute of the match. Tomas Illescass short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Gustaw Pysz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raymundo Carilao in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raymundo Carilao in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Xaime Mac Gill came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Ornitorrincos F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xaime Mac Gill couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jonathan Venegas the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Venezuela protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jonathan Venegas had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xaime Mac Gill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ornitorrincos F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
