The attack was good, but when Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Jess Johnson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Colosos Afc booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 48 minutes, Dante Faron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colosos Afc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dante Faron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gogo Florinio to make the kick off. Modesto Sugar kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Cristian Sancho could shoot a difficult shot in the 69th minute, which Jess Johnson however easily saved by the left post. After 72 minutes Colosos Afc's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jess Johnson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jess Johnson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Jess Johnson made a huge save. Colosos Afc's Haroldo Dolfos was substituted for Dante Faron. In the 90th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Colosos Afc's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Luis Andino got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jess Johnson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 92 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Gogo Florinio came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colosos Afc's goalkeeper Jess Johnson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 96th minute. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jess Johnson quite easily take care of the ball.
