An unexpectedly hard shot by Martín Ferreyra in the 13th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, USA's Marco Day got control of the ball when Conor Gallagher tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maximo Bertol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martín Ferreyra in the 55th minute of play. In the 63rd minute Martín Ferreyra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Martín Ferreyra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's supporters rose to their feet, but Martín Ferreyra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Day breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cassius Byrne got free with Dražen Ladić in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Monty Rogers in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dražen Ladić prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Dražen Ladić successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT made a substitution. Zheng Jing Feng replaced Marcelo Cordero. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jenson Smith was slow to take the kick. During this time USA's players had a chance to rest. Jenson Smith made a great header on USA's corner, it was just that Fac. de Ed.
