Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Pato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Baykal Yanal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maurício Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 11th minute Luiz Eduardo Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maurício Pires hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by JFSP's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Moisés Novaes quite easily take care of the ball. Roberto Pato kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cenap İğdemir in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 28th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moisés Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after JFSP's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. In the 30th minute, Maurício Pires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Moisés Novaes. JFSP's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Daniel Dalberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. JFSP's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. A collision led to JFSP getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Daniel Dalberg hit a great ball. Baykal Yanal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cenap İğdemir's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 51st minute of play forced JFSP's goalkeeper Moisés Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, JFSP's Roberto Pato got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubinho Zanette in the 55th minute of the match. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cenap İğdemir's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moisés Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after JFSP's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that JFSP's Moisés Novaes managed to reach the ball for a save. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moisés Novaes having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Moisés Novaes. Moisés Novaes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Moisés Novaes in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind JFSP's goalkeeper Moisés Novaes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 77th minute. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Moisés Novaes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Maurício Pires hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute, Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and JFSP's Moisés Novaes didn't even have to move. Moisés Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 84 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Moisés Novaes was left in no man's land by his defense there! JFSP's Moisés Novaes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save JFSP from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Moisés Novaes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
