Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) GAÚCHO FC's Vilhelm Lorden started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marcus Prata might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcus Prata ran back to his position shaking his head. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Vilhelm Lorden got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 4th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 7th minute, Vilhelm Lorden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 10 minutes into the game, GAÚCHO FC's Vilhelm Lorden nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gürsel Saltukalp got free with Benito Sanz in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With splendid footwork Vilhelm Lorden arrived in front of goal to shoot 3-0 by the left pole in the game's 16th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Vilhelm Lorden cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24th minute Valério Netto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vilhelm Lorden could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. After 40 minutes of play, GAÚCHO FC's Marcus Prata made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 46 minutes into the game, Vilhelm Lorden cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 7-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. After 52 played minutes GAÚCHO FC got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Silva. In the 56th minute, Vilhelm Lorden left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GAÚCHO FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gürsel Saltukalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gürsel Saltukalp in the 61st minute of the match. A collision led to GAÚCHO FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Fábio Marques hit a great ball. A hard shot by Axel Tasis from long distance, 63 minutes into the match, got Raí Seco's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Abel Carballo fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Abel Carballo a yellow card for diving instead. If Tiran Centers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 70 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Prata came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vilhelm Lorden struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GAÚCHO FC. 72 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Vilhelm Lorden came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gürsel Saltukalp in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Valério Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 85 minutes into the match, Gürsel Saltukalp notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vilhelm Lorden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere.
