The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jesus Gonzales stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. In the 11th minute, Victor de Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cesare Raimondi in the 17th minute. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Jesus Gonzales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 27 played minutes Expresso Ranelagh got a freekick which was hit by Svetoslav Vardarov. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Umea in the 44th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cesare Raimondi in the 45th minute. The Expresso Ranelagh players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Venezuela were winning 0-1.

After a rather tough play, Expresso Ranelagh's Victor de Souza got a free kick in the 50th minute. Joshua Secada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesus Gonzales having to interfere. Cesare Raimondi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Cesare Raimondi took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 60th minute, Tomas Illescas fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jesus Gonzales, passed just outside the right post. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Expresso Ranelagh's Jesus Gonzales proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Expresso Ranelagh from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Expresso Ranelagh's Jesus Gonzales got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Jesus Gonzales managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesare Raimondi in the 86th minute of play. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Cesare Raimondi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Expresso Ranelagh were victorious despite being under pressure from Venezuela for much of the match.
