After 26 minutes of play, Catarinense F.C.'s Amarante Sierra made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. José Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, Catarinense F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but José Chilavert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Santino Seco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Pascual Carballar got a free kick in the 45th minute. Jorge Ler was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 46th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abram Sarmiento made a kick off. In the 51st minute Amarante Sierra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Chilavert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santino Seco in the 54th minute of the match. Jorge Ler hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Catarinense F.C.'s José Chilavert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute Amarante Sierra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abram Sarmiento in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Chilavert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 65 minutes of play, Catarinense F.C.'s Georgiy Voroshilov made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. 73 minutes into the match, Catarinense F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Santino Seco came free, but José Chilavert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abram Secada's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but José Chilavert firmly grabbed it by the left post. Catarinense F.C.'s Angel Diagur was substituted for Gernando Cordeiro. Catarinense F.C. made a substitution. Lucas Papacharalabous replaced Amarante Sierra. In the 77th minute Colombia were awarded a corner. Kevin Mastache went to the cornerflag to take it. Colombia's Kevin Mastache was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but José Chilavert in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 84thth minute of the game Ignacio Mastache who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Catarinense F.C.'s José Chilavert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 88th minute, Lucas Papacharalabous left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Catarinense F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. José Chilavert stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ignacio Mastache's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. After 91 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Carballar. Catarinense F.C.'s supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
