But to his dismay, Den Cardwell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Gaz Chandler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Juan Arruda made a huge save. Bogdan Ghimpu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, Gigante da Colina's goal looked a bit too open when Den Cardwell came free, but Juan Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 minutes, Iuri Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gigante da Colina and the London Lions players grew even worse after the yellow card. Iuri Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristiano Nogueira to strike the kick off in the second half. Gigante da Colina's Juan Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Borys Jaworski in the 53rd minute of play. In the 66th minute, Leandro Guerra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Arruda was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Juan Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Den Cardwell, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 9-1 when Cristiano Nogueira sped through London Lions's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bogdan Ghimpu.

When the referee ended the match the London Lions players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
