Sztorm Keflavik FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Arturo Oihan scored to the left of an out of position Steinn Bjarmason, making the score, 1-0. Ermegildo Hulberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loki Jónasson in the 12th minute of the match. When Sztorm Keflavik FC's Loki Jónasson in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mazán's goalie prevented a goal. After 16 minutes Mazán's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Þorbjörn Guðjónsson who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Sztorm Keflavik FC's Þorbjörn Guðjónsson to fire away a dangerous shot which Ermegildo Hulberto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zacarias Arnau got free with Steinn Bjarmason in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 23 minutes into the match, Steinröður Hansson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ermegildo Hulberto. Mazán's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Steinröður Hansson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 26th minute, Borgþór Georgsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ermegildo Hulberto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 31st minute, Loki Jónasson made a precise shot to the right of Ermegildo Hulberto. Mazán's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. A collision led to Sztorm Keflavik FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Borgþór Georgsson hit a great ball. Zacarias Arnau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute, Zacarias Arnau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Loki Jónasson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ermegildo Hulberto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. After 42 minutes, Loki Jónasson made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. Mazán's Ermegildo Hulberto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Borgþór Georgsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Steinn Bjarmason showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Nuno, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-4.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Steinröður Hansson to make the kick off. Sztorm Keflavik FC's Steinröður Hansson got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 55 played minutes Sztorm Keflavik FC got a freekick which was hit by Játgeir Jóngeirsson. In the 57th minute, Mazán's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Borgþór Georgsson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Loki Jónasson came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Sztorm Keflavik FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Loki Jónasson couldn't finish the play. Oliver Adolfsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oliver Adolfsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Ermegildo Hulberto made a huge save. Loki Jónasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Hulberto having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Steinröður Hansson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ermegildo Hulberto, 2-5. Arturo Oihan hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Ermegildo Hulberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Borgþór Georgsson in the 83rd minute of play. Borgþór Georgsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86th minute, Sztorm Keflavik FC's Borgþór Georgsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ermegildo Hulberto. Ermegildo Hulberto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-6. Mazán's Ermegildo Hulberto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Mazán from getting a goal against them. Loki Jónasson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ermegildo Hulberto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Ermegildo Hulberto had great luck who in the 93rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Steinröður Hansson from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 94th minute, but Ermegildo Hulberto got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Mazán hanging dry this time.
Sztorm Keflavik FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
