Kjell-Arne Grönberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salah Chebal in the 27th minute of the match. Ulf Viberg's late challenge caught a Roseira EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulf Viberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 31 played minutes Roseira EC got a freekick which was hit by Ahmed Saïdi-Sief. The crowd rose to their feet as Taormina FC's Ludwig Vollander slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rafik Maillot. That made the score 2-2 after 34 minutes of play. The throw-in from Nasser Reda Madouni in the 37th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Taormina FC's Ulf Viberg. After 39 played minutes Roseira EC got a freekick which was hit by Mouloud Mansouri. Gilbert Anundsson, 40 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Salah Chebal took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kjell-Arne Grönberg. Kjell-Arne Grönberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Salah Chebal was the one to do the kick off. Abdelkader Zidane who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Kjell-Arne Grönberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Noureddine Belhadj in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kjell-Arne Grönberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 73rd minute Salah Chebal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell-Arne Grönberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Noureddine Belhadj hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Jan Pååk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ludwig Vennerström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Rafik Maillot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abdelkader Zidane scored 2-4 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kjell-Arne Grönberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 84 minutes into the match, Taormina FC's goalkeeper Kjell-Arne Grönberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abdelkader Zidane. In the 86th minute, Ludwig Vennerström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafik Maillot was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. 89 minutes into the match, Taormina FC's goalkeeper Kjell-Arne Grönberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abdelkader Zidane.
