In the 6th minute, Frankfurt 1976's Barlas Talik ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Volkmar Post. Volkmar Post yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Volkmar Post came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Frankfurt 1976's Ernesto Leon. But to his dismay, Ernesto Leon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The supporters of Frankfurt 1976 booed when FC Puhl was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Rabe didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Ronald Vordenbäumen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Volkmar Post was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ernesto Leon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Volkmar Post read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. FC Puhl's Volkmar Post proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save FC Puhl from getting a goal against them. After 30 minutes of play, Frankfurt 1976's Ernesto Leon made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Volkmar Post was left in no man's land by his defense there! Barlas Talik struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Volkmar Post didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Frankfurt 1976. The Frankfurt 1976 fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Frankfurt 1976's Barlas Talik looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
