Rothwell Park's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sammy Keino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 15th minute, Christopher Mbugua hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17thth minute Xzaver Jubera beautifully dribbled past Rothwell Park's defense and it looked for a moment as a certain goal, but Tony Githinji Muhoho pulled off a phantom save to prevent the ball from scoring on his left hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jimeno Manzanos during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th minute, Jimeno Manzanos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of REAL MANDRIL F.C booed when Rothwell Park was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sammy Keino didn't get a good kick on the ball. John Kipketer hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Falcão Matorin in the 30th minute of play forced Rothwell Park's goalkeeper Tony Githinji Muhoho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Falcão Matorin got free with Tony Githinji Muhoho in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Falcão Matorin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Tony Githinji Muhoho when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tony Githinji Muhoho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Falcão Matorin in the 37th minute of play. In the 41st minute, John Kipketer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Falcão Matorin might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tony Githinji Muhoho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Falcão Matorin ran back to his position shaking his head. 43 minutes into the match, Rothwell Park's goal looked a bit too open when Falcão Matorin came free, but Tony Githinji Muhoho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, John Kipketer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Falcão Matorin made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, REAL MANDRIL F.C's Falcão Matorin got a free kick in the 51st minute. Falcão Matorin might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tony Githinji Muhoho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Falcão Matorin ran back to his position shaking his head. Falcão Matorin ran back to his position shaking his head. Tony Githinji Muhoho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Falcão Matorin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute, Falcão Matorin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teófilo Vilanova charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teófilo Vilanova the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tony Githinji Muhoho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Falcão Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The audience was convinced that Falcão Matorin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tony Githinji Muhoho was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. REAL MANDRIL F.C were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Rothwell Park for a fine match.
