Founex FC's Josue Trüssel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Wolf in the 8th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosario Polk in the 9th minute of play forced Founex FC's goalkeeper Josue Trüssel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 12 played minutes Winners 1988 FC got a freekick which was hit by Allan Wolf. Gautier Setz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Josue Trüssel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teodoro Richard's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Gautier Setz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Hector Noel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hector Noel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gautier Setz in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute Brent Weeks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josue Trüssel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hector Noel made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Gautier Setz sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Winners 1988 FC booed when Founex FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anatole Pfiffer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Allan Wolf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Josue Trüssel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Wolf in the 43rd minute of play. Josue Trüssel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brent Weeks in the 46th minute of the match. If Jörg Melliger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gautier Setz to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tobiah Emmenegger during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a long run with the ball, Isaak Geiger did a trick in the 62nd minute in front of Winners 1988 FC's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 2-0. An impressive performance by Founex FC's Isaak Geiger! The supporters of Founex FC booed when Winners 1988 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Richard didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Founex FC's Josue Trüssel got control of the ball when Rosario Polk tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee ignored Winners 1988 FC's protests and gave Allan Wolf a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Rosario Polk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Winners 1988 FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rosario Polk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josue Trüssel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
