With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernhard Krier in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anastasio Mederi saved SUTURA FC from getting behind. If Domingo Argenis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to SUTURA FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Bartolo Locaio hit a great ball. Bernhard Krier took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anastasio Mederi. Anastasio Mederi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Anastasio Mederi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernhard Krier in the 23rd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Günther Lentz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anastasio Mederi. SUTURA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Günther Lentz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Bernhard Krier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Mederi having to interfere. Saint Etienne's Raphaël Favre managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cayetano Froila in the 43 minute of the game. In the 45th match minute, SUTURA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartolo Locaio to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th match minute, SUTURA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Baleren to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernhard Krier made a kick off. Anastasio Mederi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernhard Krier in the 55th minute of play. Gregory Hildmann didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fulgencio Elizardo went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. In the 73rd minute Fulgencio Elizardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregory Hildmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, SUTURA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Majerus came free, but Anastasio Mederi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gregory Hildmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Argenis in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute of the match SUTURA FC got a corner. Saint Etienne's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fulgencio Elizardo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led SUTURA FC's Fulgencio Elizardo to fire away a dangerous shot which Gregory Hildmann despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 77th minute Domingo Argenis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregory Hildmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Jonas Majerus cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Anastasio Mederi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 84thth minute of the game Bernhard Krier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SUTURA FC's Anastasio Mederi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 87 played minutes SUTURA FC got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Baleren. Anastasio Mederi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernhard Krier in the 89th minute of play. Fulgencio Elizardo hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Bernhard Krier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saint Etienne's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernhard Krier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anastasio Mederi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
