A collision led to Guayana FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Valente Rapela hit a great ball. After 40 minutes, Damian Steiner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Beechbrook FC and the Guayana FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Guayana FC booed when Beechbrook FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Steiner didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Romeo Garmendia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Garry Caballero was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romeo Garmendia to make the kick off.
