Matheus da Cunha scored 0-3 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vicente Simões, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vicente Simões made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jânio Motta in the 88th minute. Guarapari do Esp. Santo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
