Cristian Francis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiburcio Nel having to interfere. Tiburcio Nel was a little too slow when Cristian Francis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 11th match minute, Belgrano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dionisio Mero to maneuver through the defense. Amador Oxarra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiburcio Nel having to interfere. After some careless play in the Belgrano FC defense, Fulgencio Errolan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abelardo Quinteros. The Belgrano FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abelardo Quinteros should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnoldo Gumaro during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th minute, Arnoldo Gumaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reynaldo Cheche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Quinteros having to interfere. A collision led to Andino getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Alvaro Abaunza hit a great ball. In the 27th minute Cristian Francis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiburcio Nel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaldo Cheche in the 35th minute of play forced Belgrano FC's goalkeeper Abelardo Quinteros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alvaro Abaunza's late challenge caught a Belgrano FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alvaro Abaunza helped the player get up and apologised. 39 minutes into the game, one of Andino:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 41 minutes, Belgrano FC's Leonides Lauren got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Tiburcio Nel. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Fulgencio Errolan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Andino's supporters rose to their feet, but Fulgencio Errolan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abelardo Quinteros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristian Francis was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Belgrano FC's Amador Oxarra made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tiburcio Nel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Reynaldo Cheche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Abelardo Quinteros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Belgrano FC's goalkeeper Abelardo Quinteros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fulgencio Errolan. Tiburcio Nel came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Belgrano FC's Cristian Francis. But to his dismay, Cristian Francis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. If Cristian Francis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Belgrano FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Reynaldo Cheche fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 87th minute, Fulgencio Errolan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reynaldo Cheche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the game, Inocencio Michael was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Belgrano FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Andino the free kick. Inocencio Michael hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Andino's Reynaldo Cheche got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

When the referee blew the final whistle, Belgrano FC could leave the field as winners, despite Andino having more of the ball for most of the match.
