Lino Gurutz took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Eloy Steven sent off a good shot on target. Prudencio Gonchan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Patricio Costa scored 3-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Prudencio Gonchan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 38 minutes in the game, Tomas Illescas dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Froilan Guzman made the kick off in the second half. If Froilan Guzman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute, Froilan Guzman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the match, Froilan Guzman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Froilan Guzman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. After 66 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Prudencio Gonchan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eloy Steven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eloy Steven, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Froilan Guzman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piuke's Candido Montxo was substituted for Froilan Guzman. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Prudencio Gonchan made a huge save. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Piuke's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
