Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Hortêncio Sena made the kick off and thus started the match. Hortêncio Sena took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 8th minute Hortêncio Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Léo Carioca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 10th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Flamengo FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Léo Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 15th minute. Léo Carioca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Alcocer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Léo Carioca having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Virgílio da Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virgílio da Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Costa Rica were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after Flamengo FSCMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Tasis took the corner. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Léo Carioca in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hortêncio Sena in the 52nd minute of the match. After having played for 54 minutes, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Puig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 56th minute Hortêncio Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Alvarenga in the 60th minute of play. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Abel Carballo hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute of the match Yuri Neiva shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 68 minutes into the game, Axel Tasis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flamengo FSCMZ the free kick. The supporters of Flamengo FSCMZ booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Tasis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hortêncio Sena struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flamengo FSCMZ. Hortêncio Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Flamengo FSCMZ's Hortêncio Sena in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. Flamengo FSCMZ's Léo Carioca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Flamengo FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. After 86 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hortêncio Sena's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. The audience was convinced that Hortêncio Sena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yuri Neiva in the 95th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Flamengo FSCMZ fully deserved thier win.
