Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) El Salvador's Moises Fernandino started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Accokeek AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Moises Fernandino came free, but Sherwood Walsh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Accokeek AFC's Sherwood Walsh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Luque in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to Accokeek AFC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Berry Barney hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Moises Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Salvador's supporters rose to their feet, but Moises Fernandino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sherwood Walsh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Fernandino in the 16th minute of play forced Accokeek AFC's goalkeeper Sherwood Walsh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abram Luque recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The corner led El Salvador's Mateo Leguizamo to fire away a dangerous shot which Sherwood Walsh despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Sherwood Walsh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Luque, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Sherwood Walsh came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by El Salvador's Moises Fernandino. But to his dismay, Moises Fernandino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Roscoe Hargrove sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Accokeek AFC booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Fernandino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Roscoe Hargrove left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Accokeek AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Oren Walsh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Ricardo Zorita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the game, Jorge Magrina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Salvador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Accokeek AFC the free kick. In the 40th minute, Jorge Magrina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Luis Rubio charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Rubio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in El Salvador fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! In the 66th minute there was a penalty for Accokeek AFC. Curt McLain stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ricardo Zorita. 3-1. Sherwood Walsh came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by El Salvador's Moises Fernandino. But to his dismay, Moises Fernandino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Sherwood Walsh made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Moises Fernandino sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino got a free kick in the 78th minute. Salvatore Ashley's late challenge caught a El Salvador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salvatore Ashley helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of El Salvador booed when Accokeek AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvatore Ashley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Accokeek AFC's Berry Barney suffered a concussion after 82 minutes and had to leave the field. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Curt McLain in the 87th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the El Salvador players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Accokeek AFC.
