The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fausto Montel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Montel in the 64th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Alf Tempel made a huge save. Shi Yuan Qi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute Fausto Montel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Rapid Wien's Alf Tempel got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rapid Wien's Fausto Montel got a free kick in the 90th minute. Rapid Wien made a substitution. Sergio Skoczylas replaced Daniel Hagedorn. A collision led to Rapid Wien getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Fausto Montel hit a great ball. Rapid Wien succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
