Cleto Camerino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Marcos Cotilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Tomas Berganza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mieszko Bierfass was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Berganza in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mieszko Bierfass prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mieszko Bierfass showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 79th minute, one of san isidro:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for san isidro. The goalkeeper, Mieszko Bierfass, was totally fooled by Panama's Abraham Alguacil, who 80 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 88th minute Miguel Miralles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mieszko Bierfass saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isidoro Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mieszko Bierfass having to interfere. The san isidro supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Panama's performance. The match ended with a win for Panama.
