In the 3rd minute, Lautaro Mancebo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karol Kluczyk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Hubert Alén kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Joel Gaona took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Karol Kluczyk. La Mazorca's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Karol Kluczyk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Bogumil Burowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Karol Kluczyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. La Mazorca's Karol Kluczyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Mexico booed when La Mazorca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hubert Alén didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karol Kluczyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 24th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of La Mazorca's Karol Kluczyk. Karol Kluczyk was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. A collision led to La Mazorca getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Nicanor Peyo hit a great ball. Karol Kluczyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 37th minute of the match. Angelo Gaizkine hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karol Kluczyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karol Kluczyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 41st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Gregorio Richie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Gregorio Richie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Mårten Svartengren came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the La Mazorca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mårten Svartengren couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Mexico booed when La Mazorca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Ubendu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gregorio Richie made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gregorio Richie in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Alberto Tafalla took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Karol Kluczyk to make any attempt to save it. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. La Mazorca's Remigio Camerino was substituted for Gregorio Richie. In the 78th minute, Alberto Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Karol Kluczyk threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Mexico booed when La Mazorca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Abaurre didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Luca Zorita's late challenge caught a La Mazorca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luca Zorita helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Luca Zorita hit a great ball. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Karol Kluczyk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
