But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Davie Barrett couldn't finish the play. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, Lamestars could leave the field as winners, despite Mexico having more of the ball for most of the match.
