Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 2nd minute, when Firman Urquizu sent off a good shot on target. Sabaneta FC's Kevin Mier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 4th minute of play. After 6 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kevin Mier was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 12th match minute, Sabaneta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brun Bucaran to maneuver through the defense. Sabaneta FC's Kevin Mier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute of the game Bonifaco Corrillos made a throw-in which Cássio Correia played forward. Bonifaco Corrillos made in the 16th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Rolando Noboa was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Cássio Correia capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cássio Correia really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Bonifaco Corrillos in the 22 minute of the game. 24 minutes into the match, Sabaneta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Kevin Mier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Rolando Noboa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rian Giggs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milagros Fraga to maneuver through the defense. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rian Giggs in the 46th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. Sabaneta FC's Kevin Mier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 51st minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luz Tejedor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Kevin Mier made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Sabaneta FC's Bonifaco Corrillos got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Thanks to some nice moves Emmanuel Reyes could shoot a difficult shot in the 80th minute, which Kevin Mier however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Mina in the 84th minute of play forced Sabaneta FC's goalkeeper Kevin Mier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eliseo Mina in the 87th minute. A very nice done corner allowed Alonso Berganza to score against Kevin Mier in Sabaneta FC's goal. 3-2 after 87 minutes. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Bonifaco Corrillos, made in the 92nd minute of the game. The referee felt a red card was in order, 95 minutes into the game, when Efraim Gilabert put in a rough tackle. Efraim Gilabert kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Bonifaco Corrillos did an outstanding performance 98 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 4-2 to the right of an irritated Rolando Noboa in the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Peru players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sabaneta FC.
