Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lico Tarin took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Leoz to maneuver through the defense. A sloppy throw-in by Leonardo Leoz in the 9th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by ATLETAS FC's Marc de Pelsmakere. 14 minutes into the match, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronny Engström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Dante Lacasa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 19th minute, Waclaw Gniech made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Lico Tarin took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 27th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronny Engström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Gaona scored 2-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ronny Engström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronny Engström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ronny Engström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lico Tarin's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. 45 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Haroldo Gibert was slow to take the kick. During this time ATLETAS FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on ATLETAS FC's corner Haroldo Gibert fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dante Lacasa quite easily take care of the ball. Ronny Engström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 51 minutes, Ronny Engström successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of ATLETAS FC booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. ATLETAS FC's Ronny Engström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save ATLETAS FC from getting a goal against them. Lautaro Mancebo struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Ronny Engström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Felix Luque got a free kick in the 65th minute. ATLETAS FC's Eutropio Turienzo was substituted for Lico Tarin. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Felix Luque hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Eutropio Turienzo came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eutropio Turienzo in the 70th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 74thth minute. Though ot was a great shot ATLETAS FC's keeper Ronny Engström was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Ronny Engström in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 82nd minute of play forced ATLETAS FC's goalkeeper Ronny Engström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Gaona succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-3 in the 82nd playminute. With a little luck, ATLETAS FC's Ronny Engström got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 94 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Leoz.
