Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Casimiro Iago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 4th minute of play. Casimiro Iago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Guanacos's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Casimiro Iago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Casimiro Iago. Casimiro Iago dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 13 minutes into the match, Luis Andino notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Guanacos's Casimiro Iago. Casimiro Iago was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 17th minute of the game Camilo Gisbert made a throw-in which Luis Andino played forward. 17 minutes into the game, Eusebio Cuartio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guanacos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. 25 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casimiro Iago. Guanacos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Casimiro Iago came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. 36 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Guanacos's Casimiro Iago. Casimiro Iago was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Felix Montes made in the 39th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Felix Montenegro however managed to control. In the 41st minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-10 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 47 minutes in the game Primitivo Andino did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Daniel Zorita.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eustacio Lamberto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Casimiro Iago made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 52nd minute. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Casimiro Iago could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 54th minute of play forced Guanacos's goalkeeper Casimiro Iago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Casimiro Iago in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Agustín Saelices recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Casimiro Iago made a huge save. Juan Sebastián Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Casimiro Iago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Casimiro Iago made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. 62 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices notched a goal, 0-11, to the right of Guanacos's Casimiro Iago. Casimiro Iago was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 65th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Casimiro Iago was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-12. Casimiro Iago made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Casimiro Iago made a huge save. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80th play minutes Camilo Gisbert shot 0-14, a short shot which went by Casimiro Iago and just under the crossbar into goal. 82 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita lined in a short shot 0-15 behind a frustrated Casimiro Iago. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 86th minute of play forced Guanacos's goalkeeper Casimiro Iago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Casimiro Iago. Casimiro Iago dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-16. Casimiro Iago made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 90th minute. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Casimiro Iago didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-17 was the resulting score. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Guanacos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teobaldo Aimar didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Guanacos throughout the match.
