Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agamenón Gutierrez, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sarracino De la Rosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agamenón Gutierrez in the 38th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sarracino De la Rosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 68th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sarracino De la Rosa, 3-2. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. Agamenón Gutierrez hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Michel Ponce De Leon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agamenón Gutierrez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cebollas's Sarracino De la Rosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Cebollas from getting a goal against them. If Agamenón Gutierrez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Cebollas support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
